What is Visitors Medical Insurance?
Visitors Medical Insurance, also known as Visitors Coverage, or Visitor Health Insurance, is a type of short-term health insurance primarily used by travelers. These policies cover accident, sickness, travel emergencies, and accidental death during travel. We highly recommend purchasing a visitors health insurance plan if you are traveling out of your home country for an extended period of time, have any pre-existing conditions, and want to protect against the unknown risks which can arise while traveling.
With health care costs ballooning out-of-control, we highly advise to purchase some form of insurance before travel to protect yourself. A recent claims analysis showed us that the average medical bill for an emergency room visit topped over $10,000. To prevent you and your family from paying these costs, it is highly recommended to purchase a visitors insurance policy.
